Founded over 50 years ago, DD is the only company to offer an extensive range of specialist products, equipment and support services across both the dental & beauty markets in the UK and ROI. DD supplies over 12,000 dental practices, 6,000 medical beauty clinics and is rapidly expanding to reach 18,000 specialist beauty salons all the country.

DD’s customers are privileged to access a wide range of dental practice equipment and repair services undertaken by the largest team of talented engineers in the industry.

With an ever-increasing focus on regulation, the DD team offers compliance and training support to enable customers to deliver their services in a safe and compliant manner. DD operates under MHRA regulations along with being ISO 13485 and 9001 accredited and regularly audited by the Home Office. DD’s in-house pharmacy is registered and regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Leadership Team

Paul Adams

Chief Executive Officer

Paul joined DD as Managing Director in April 2018, bringing more than 20 years of executive leadership experience achieved through both international and UK-based roles. Paul has successfully led in the consumer products, retail, technology, and healthcare sectors, including dealing with the supply of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Paul spent 7 years at Smith & Nephew, followed by his position as COO and subsequently CEO of Talaris where he successfully took the company through an intensive sale process. His technical expertise grew further during his more recent CEO positions for global leaders Glory Solutions and Redeem Group.

Simon Dowell

Chief Operating Officer

Simon joined DD as COO in November 2021 bringing 20+ years’ diverse leadership experience ranging from international sales & marketing to global product management & sourcing, primarily in the sporting goods sector. Simon specializes in motivating individuals, teams and organisations to communicate, collaborate and operate more effectively, boosting morale and improving outcomes for all stakeholders. Simon holds a degree in Law with French, qualified and worked as a solicitor, and is the founder of PlayBrave, the premium sports apparel brand which he exited in 2020.

Jamie Murray-Wells – OBE

Non-Executive Director

Jamie is Industry Head, Retail, at Google, leading a team that looks at the role of machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure in solving some of retail’s most pressing challenges. Prior to Google, Jamie founded and led Glasses Direct for 10 years, during which it became Europe’s largest online glasses retailer. He served as an advisor for 3 years on the Shadow Chancellor's New Enterprise Council from 2007-2010, after which he co-founded entrepreneurship campaigning organisation StartUp Britain at No.10 Downing Street, which was announced in the Chancellor’s 2011 budget speech, and launched by the Prime Minister. In 2009 Jamie received the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion. He was appointed OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2015.

Ben Goodger

Finance Director

Ben joined DD in March 2015 and was swiftly promoted to the Senior Leadership Team in November 2017 due to his passion for driving business performance, improving efficiency, and delivering results. Ben is a CIMA qualified business professional with strong commercial and financial acumen possessing a proactive approach. Having gained a wide range of experience in both private equity and listed companies he holds broad expertise from across the manufacturing, defence, retail, environmental and energy sectors including successfully leading multiple acquisition and company sale processes.

Brent Sercombe

Sales Director

Brent joined DD in April 2019 and has been responsible for the execution of DD’s commercial and customer service growth since then. Brent brings a wealth of experience across diverse markets in both B2B and B2C results and has been an ambassador of cross functional workflow between the Sales team & Operations. He is focussed on establishing strong robust customer relationships and tactically planning to maximise profit and drive company progress.

Scott Selbie

Corporate and Engineering Director

Scott joined DD in July 2015 and was promoted to the Senior Leadership Team in September 2018. Scott is a highly motivated and strategic leader with over 20 years of experience in the health sector, predominantly within pharmaceutical (Alliance Healthcare) and dental distribution. Scott has a diverse skills base covering operations, sales, and commercial functions. His proven track record for successfully turning businesses around, delivering significant profitable growth coupled with his unique talent for developing business relationships and motivating teams through change, has led to the divisions he manages at DD continuing to develop and excel in delivering their targets.

Natalie Seago

Head of Human Resources

Natalie joined DD in May 2016 and was promoted to the Senior Leadership Team in June 2019. Natalie is a highly accomplished and reliable HR professional with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record in delivering robust HR solutions aligned to key business objectives. She is a CIPD member, progressing towards chartered membership, and therefore possesses the key skills to direct DD’s HR systems, handle employee relations, ensure compliance with regulations, successfully manage talent, design internal training programs, and develop competitive compensation plans.

David Tweedale

Marketing & Managing Director of Shop Beautiful

David joined DD in May 2017 and was promoted to the Senior Leadership Team in June 2019. David is a highly experienced and accomplished commercial driver with 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, marketing, and business development at companies such as Merz, Denfleet, UDG Healthcare and the Small Planet Group. Prior to taking on his current position in DD’s Marketing division, David directed the successful growth and development of DD’s Medical Aesthetics division MedFX.

Mark Mulholland

Managing Director BF Mulholland

Mark joined the Senior Leadership Team in October 2017 upon DD’s acquisition of BF Mulholland, which Mark has successfully directed, managed and grown since 2002. Mark’s background in actuary and finance coupled with previous roles at Investors Bank & Trust (Dublin) and Brown Brothers Harriman (Dublin), has enabled him to effectively drive profitability and attain key efficiencies to make BF Mulholland the leading dental distributor in Northern and the Republic of Ireland in terms of value and customer service.

Johanna Deason

Head Of Legal, DPO and COSEC

Johanna joined DD in June 2019 and was promoted to the Senior Leadership Team in July 2020. She is an experienced in-house counsel with a proven track record of successfully advising companies in-house across a range of industries. Johanna is highly skilled in a number of legal areas, in particular general commercial, data protection, competition, employment and advertising law.
