Hydrocortisone Cream 1%

An anti-inflammatory steroidal cream, used for the relief of dry and irritated skin. Skin conditions such as dermatitis, bug bites, eczema, all can lead to dry, swollen and irritated skin. Hydrocortisone 1% Cream can be applied topically to these locations so as to reduce the immune response to these skin conditions, which helps to alleviate dryness, itchiness etc. This ointment is generally safe to use on children and adults, but should not be applied to the face, or on children under ten without the recommendation of a doctor.

What's the difference between Hydrocortisone 1% ointment and 1% hydrocortisone cream?

Ointment is thicker, greasier and tends to be better for skin which is dry or flaky. Whereas creams are in a smooth viscous form, and apply better for wet, weepy skin.

When should I not use 1% hydrocortisone?
