The unbranded antibiotic used in Klaricid, Klaricid XL, and Xetinin XL, Clarithromycin is used in dental practices to help treat periapical and periodontal dental abscesses, as well as tooth infections, as well as other types of bacterial infections. Typically, Clarithromycin is taken twice per day, and can be taken with or without food.

Those who have had an allergic reaction to Clarithromycin.
Have had diarrhoea as a side effect of taking antibiotics
Have a fast, or irregular heartbeat.
Are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
