250mg/5ml suspension of Amoxicillin powder. Mix with water to create suspension of Amoxicillin, a Penicillin-derived antibiotic with a broad range of antibacterial action, including certain oral bacterial infections. Suspension of Amoxicillin is particularly useful in patients who are suffering from difficulty swallowing capsules, but have no problems with liquids.
Amoxicillin can be administered in capsule and tablets, which patients may find more palatable, alternatively, some suspensions can be mixed with a juice or cordial. Please see the product information leaflet for more information.
Tell them to stick to simple meals without spices, some patients report that taking their Amoxicillin with a meal or a snack helps alleviate nausea.
