A cephalosporin antibiotic used for tooth abscesses, gum infections, and more. Also known under the brand name ‘Keflex’, Cephalexin is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections and skin infections. This antibiotic should help your patient to start feeling better within 1-2 days, however, it is vital that they complete their course. Please note, your patient should not take any zinc supplements while taking Cephalexin, as it impacts its ability to act.
