Citanest is a local anaesthetic indicated for the production of local anaesthesia in routine dental procedures and oral surgery via infiltration and nerve-block techniques. Citanest is latex-free, adrenaline-free and uses Octapressin (Felypressin), as a vasoconstrictor instead of epinephrine (adrenaline) which means it can be used on a wide variety of patients. Prilocaine is Citanest’s active ingredient, and is less toxic systemically when compared to other local amide-based anaesthetics.
