A hundred silicone-coated 0.30 x 23mm needles, colour coded as ‘red’, which is a shorter solo needle than its 0.40x35mm yellow counterpart. Coated, so as to help reduce trauma or discomfort after puncturing the skin, and designed with a triple-bevel lancet which helps to puncture the skin without difficulty, as well as reduce the potential of coring. Each of these needles is individually packaged and sterilised.
Coring is when a needle punctures a rubber lid and a piece of rubber gets stuck in the core of the needle.
Solo needles are colour coded, with red being short (0.30 x 23mm) needles, and yellow being longer 0.40x35mm.
