Midazolam, which is sometimes referred to under the brand name 'Versed,' is a benzodiazepine commonly used in dental practices as a pre-medication to alleviate anxiety, or provide anesthesia before medical procedures or surgeries. This benzodiazepine can be administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM).
