Made of a cellulose absorbent sponge these mouth packs are designed to pack the airway in order to prevent inhalation / ingestion of debris during procedures. This product is supplied as a non-sterile product and must be autoclaved before use, for 15 minutes at 121oc just prior to use, preferably with a drying cycle. Flange mouthpacks should not be used in a dry state, and will require moisture to provide the necessary adaptability and volume.
Moist Flange Mouthpacks can be used effectively in all types of dental surgery. General or local anaesthetics, including conscious sedation procedures are all suitable.
Either a vacuum or non-vacuum sterilising cycle may be used, as the device does not need to be processed wrapped.
