Xylocaine Spray is a common staple in the modern dental practice. A non-sterile solution used to numb (anaesthetise) parts of the body to numb pain and prevent reflex gagging. This product contains Lignocaine USP 100mg in each ml, and provides a local anaesthetic effect once sprayed. Because of this effect, you should always try to use as few sprays as possible when using Xylocaine Spray, and always use the nozzles provided by Xylocaine. Each nozzle is single-use per procedure to avoid cross contamination.
Each application of Xylocaine spray should use only nozzles provided by Xylocaine, whether this is the nozzle included in the initial purchase, or a nozzle bought as part of a multipack. Each nozzle is single use.
Xylocaine spray contains a medicine called lignocaine, which is often used as a local anaesthetic. Because of this, sometimes this product is referred to as a Lignocaine Spray.
