Impression Compound is a thermoplastic impression material provided in sticks for copper band impressions and for adding to the periphery of an impression tray. Each coloured variant has a controlled working temperature. This variant, being green, has a working temperature of 50˚C or 122-124°F. Available as cakes for full or partial impressions.
Kerr has three impression compounds with different colours and working temperatures
Cakes are shaped so as to be shorter and wider, whereas sticks are long and thin. These materials have different functions, sticks are used for copper band impressions, and cakes are used for full or partial impressions.
