Convenient, effective, and used widely. Surgical Spirit is a mix including Castor Oil, Methyl Salicylate, typically applied topically to harden skin and prevent bed sores, as well as for cleaning skin before injections. This surgical spirit can also be used to clean hard, non-porous surfaces in surgical environments. To use, simply apply Surgical Spirit to the area using a clean cloth or cotton wool. Ensure the area is thoroughly wetted. If you do use this spirit on skin, please note it is for external use only and will not be suitable for broken skin.
Store somewhere well-ventilated and cool. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
Surgical Spirit is Methanol 90% v/v. It also contains ethyl acetate and methyl isobutyl ketone.
