Hussein Patanwala graduated from the University of Birmingham and went on to complete a post in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Boston. Returning to London he is one of only a few to hold memberships to three faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons London and completed restorative training at the UCL Eastman Dental institute. Hussein spends the majority of his time as Clinical Lead of two well respected dental clinics in he Midlands. For over 15 years Hussein has been a clinical lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham. The last 6 years he has been Head of Firm for 5th BDS and sits on the undergraduate admissions panel. As well as his work with undergraduates he lectures internationally to postgraduate students in fixed prosthodontics, adhesive and minimal intervention dentistry. Most recently Hussein has been pursuing his keen interest in research, collaborating with King’s College London to study Minimal Intervention Dentistry. He is a Key Opinion Leader for GC UK and respected senior clinical advisor to industry.
