Anti-inflammatory and analgesic, Ibuprofen is widely used in dental practices. This product contains 600mg Ibuprofen dose, which is considered a high dose. Used for moderate-to-severe pain, Ibuprofen is an NSAID which makes it effective at reducing inflammation, particularly useful in instances where a patient has painful swelling, which may occur as a result of dental extraction, for example.
600mg of Ibuprofen is a high dose and often prescribed for moderate-to-severe pain.
Guidelines at time of writing indicate that for moderate to severe pain, Ibuprofen can be prescribed at a maximum of 2.4g daily (600mg four times a day). This can be taken alongside paracetamol. Please always refer to current guidelines on this topic.
