Flucloxacillin 250mg is an antibiotic used for treating skin infections, wound infections, bone infections, and in some cases, ear infections. This is a penicillin-based antibiotic which is often used for dental abscesses and other oral bacterial infections. When taken on an empty stomach four times a day, flucloxacillin will often help patients feel better within 1-2 days. Its most common side effects are nausea and diarrhea. Also known under the following brand names: Floxapen, Flopen, Flubex, Flupen, Phylopen, and Staphylex.
Thrush is a known side effect of taking Flucloxacillin, and you should contact your GP or pharmacist to help with treatment.
You should be able to drive or ride a bike, however, if you experience nausea while driving, it is recommended you discontinue use of your bike until the side effects are abated.
