DD in partnership with Bison Assist offer a full service to ensure that your practice has a risk-free water system. Bison Assist will arrange for all water samples to be tested in UKAS accredited laboratories who can conduct a full microbiological analysis as well as testing for chemicals. Bison Assist offer an easy and inexpensive screening system for legionella, pseudomonas and other life-threatening bacterium.

Why do I need water sampling?

If you are a healthcare practice and/or a business owner, then you are required to meet any water related standards to ensure that your water system is safe and bacteria free. The rules governing the safety of water supplies are covered by the following legislation: The Management of Health and Safety at Work 1999, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (as amended), the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Health and Social Care Act 2012, The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000.

How much does water sampling cost?

• Legionella water sample: from £40+vat (If taken at the same time as the Legionella Risk Assessment)
• Pseudomonas water sample: £30+vat per sample (If taken at the same time as the Legionella Risk Assessment)
