Terms & Conditions

Eligibility. The competition is open to residents of the UK aged 18 or over who work in a dental practice or dental professional setting. Employees of DD Group, their agencies, and their immediate families are not eligible for the main prize draw.

How to enter. As per the rules above. Entries must be submitted via public posts or comments on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn and tag our official account. Entries by other means will not be accepted. Entries must be received between 29.10.25 and 05.11.26 (the “Competition Period”).

Entry requirements. By entering, you confirm that:

  • You own the photo or have permission to share it.
  • Everyone appearing in the photo has agreed to be featured and to their image being reshared by Dental Directory.
  • No patients, patient records or confidential information appear in the photo.
  • The entry doesn’t contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or inappropriate content, including costumes that mock or stereotype any group, race, religion or disability.
  • The entry doesn’t breach any third party’s rights.
  • You are happy for Dental Directory to use the photos in marketing comms.

Selection of winners. Entries will be judged by Dean Hallows. Three winners will be selected. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prizes. 1st prize: chocolate hamper, approx. value £50. 2nd prize: chocolate hamper, approx. value £35. 3rd prize: chocolate hamper, approx. value £20. Prizes are non-transferable, can’t be exchanged for cash, and no alternatives will be offered. Dental Directory may substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control require this. Hampers may contain allergens; full ingredient and allergen information will be provided on request, and Dental Directory accepts no liability for allergic reactions. Prizes will be delivered to a UK address within 28 days of the winners being confirmed.

Winner notification. Winners will be notified by direct message or comment within 7 days of the closing date. Winners must respond within 7 days with a delivery address; otherwise Dental Directory may withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.

Publicity and use of entries. By entering, you grant Dental Directory a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to repost, display and use your entry (including images of your team) on its social media, website and marketing materials. Winners agree to the use of their name and practice name in announcements.

Data protection. Personal data will be used only to administer the competition, notify winners and deliver prizes, in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law. Data will not be shared with third parties other than delivery partners.

Platform disclaimer. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, LinkedIn or any other social platform. You are providing your information to Dental Directory and not to the platform.

General. Dental Directory reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaches these terms, and to cancel or amend the competition if circumstances outside its control make this necessary. Dental Directory accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or not received due to technical issues. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
